There’s nothing more certain than a promise of God. When He commits Himself, it’s the surest thing there is. He has the power to see it through. His character will never allow Him to say one thing and do another. He not only tells the truth; He is the Truth. So when you pray for wisdom in your work (or anywhere in life), expect to receive it. Get ready. He has promised to give it when we ask (James 1:5).
You need God’s wisdom for what you do at work. You ultimately work for Him and serve His Kingdom, whatever your role at the firm. For that, ask Him to show His ways. Ask Him to reveal His will in the mundane as well as the critical. Ask Him to supply the creativity, insight, and energy you need. Use them to make a real difference for your clients, your co-workers, and His Kingdom.
Ask for that wisdom today. Then watch for it. Receive it. Put it to work. He will give it.
May the peace and every blessing of God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—rest on you, your family, your firm, and your clients today. Shalom.
Take a moment to reflect before you move on:
Do you ask for wisdom from God when you need it?
On a scale of 1 to 10, how certain are you that God will give you wisdom when you ask?
Ask God today for the wisdom to trust his promise with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Choose one area where you need wisdom this week, and practice living expectantly for it.
